Setting up a dial up networking connection to access PegaNet.


FOR WINDOWS XP CLICK HERE

Windows 95, 98 or ME
 1. Double Click on MY COMPUTER
2. Double Click on DIAL UP NETWORKING
3. Double Click on MAKE NEW CONNECTION
4. Change "My Connection" to "PegaNet", Click NEXT
5. Enter the appropriate phone number that is local for your area, Click NEXT
(LEE COUNTY - 437-1717 CHARLOTTE COUNTY - 764-7764 COLLIER COUNTY - 262-4006)
(NOTE MAKE SURE YOU ENTER THE CORRECT LOCAL NUMBER FOR YOUR AREA. IF
YOU ARE NOT SURE WHAT AREA IS LOCAL FOR YOU, CALL YOUR LOCAL PHONE COMPANY.)
6. Click FINISH.

Once you have completed the above, to get online, click on the INTERNET EXPLORER icon on your desktop then enter your username and password.

Windows NT 4
1. Double Click on MY COMPUTER
2. Double Click on DIAL UP NETWORKING
3. Click on NEW
4. Change "MyDialUPServer" to "PegaNet", Click NEXT
5. Put a check in "I am calling the Internet", Click NEXT
6. Enter the appropriate phone number that is local for your area, Click NEXT

 7. Click FINISH.


Once you have completed the above to get online, click on the INTERNET EXPLORER icon on your desktop then enter your username and password.

FOR BOTH OF THE ABOVE:

Mail:
 1. You can use the PegaNet Web Mail by using your browser to reach: http://www.peganet.net
 then click on PegaNet Web Mail

OR

2. You can set up Internet Mail, Outlook Express, Eudora, or Netscape mail to access your mail using POP3 with the following information:

SMTP server: peganet.com
POP3 server: peganet.com

News:
PegaNet's News server is: news.peganet.net You must enter your user name and password to access news.

DNS:
 DNS number are NOT required with the above setup, and normally should NOT be entered, however, if your particular software requires them, ours are: 206.102.200.1 and 206.102.200.7

HOME PAGE:
 It is recommend that you change your default home page to: http://www.peganet.net This is found in Control Panel by clicking on the INTERNET icon for all versions of Internet Explorer, OR in Netscape by clicking on EDIT and PREFERENCES then NAVIGATION.
